"Twain Tigers" at Mark Twain Elementary, Colorado Springs, CO

The PTA commissioned this piece to greet students and visitors as they enter the school. The background is worked in stained glass and the tiger, lettering, and boarder are in vitreous glass tile.

Steele Elementary School, Colorado Springs, CO

A parent whose family had been involved in a recent school renovation commissioned and helped to fabricate and install this piece which greet students and visitors as they enter the school.

The mosaic mural was fabricated as 6 separate mosaic wall art panels which we installed, finished, and grouted just before school opened for the year.

The piece is 4′ tall and 12′ wide and incorporates pictures of students from over the school’s 100 year history.

Pine Creek High School, Colorado Springs, CO

The graduating class of 2008 commissioned a mural from me. Their budget was small so I created a stained glass mosaic eagle within a painted mural. The landscape background is a stylized view of the Front Range from their school.

Discovery Canyon, Colorado Springs, CO

The General Contractor for the school’s construction hired a designer for a 12′ tall by 38′ wide wall in the schools’ courtyard. The designer found me and we worked on the project together.

The design is worked in glazed and unglazed porcelain tile.  The design includes a 3-dimensional mosaic of the earth (atop the shorter wall). The earth is surrounded by incised glass tiles that represent the phylogenetic tree.
